Will you charge for a quote?

No. We will guide you through the entire process of design, and will offer as much support and advice as you need until you are ready to go ahead with your project.

Can you quote without seeing the job?

Not really, but we are more than happy to view it at your convenience and it will cost you nothing.

What if my circumstances change before commencement?

If for any reason you cannot proceed with the project, you will only be charged for local authority costs and architectural services. Simon Lawrence will NOT charge you for administration.

What methods of payments are accepted?

We require phased payments by bank transfer as the project progresses. This is a fast secure and guaranteed method that offers piece of mind for both parties.

Is there any chance of surprise costs?

No, when we quote it is stated very clearly what you will get and we include an outline for the more common extras that may occur after doing a full survey.

Do you offer a guarantee??

Yes, we offer a 5 year guarantee on all of our work.

Can I take out further cover?

Yes, we can advice you on further cover should you need it

After I have signed my drawings, can I make changes?

Of course, we will discuss the changes and you will be asked to sign an amendment form. We are committed to providing a project tailored to you so we are prepared to be flexible.

Am I able to use my own trades?

We include all aspects of the conversion within our quotes. Should you wish to use an exterior trade for any reason, we will work with them as best as we can to ensure your complete satisfaction

Will I have to be involved with planning?

Only if you want to be, once you are happy with the designs, we will take care of the rest for you. We will contact you as much or as little as you request.

I have a Truss Roof can this be done?

Yes! Truss roofs can be done, just as simply and cost effectively as a traditional roof design.

Will you get extra noise in the rooms below?

No more than you would get between your standard ground and first floor now. The conversion is built as a separate entity in accordance with building regulations. This means an independent floor structure. More about this..
